Who we are

Sigma Chi Eta Beta at California State University, Long Beach proudly represents a legacy that began with the chartering of our chapter in 1970. Rooted in the principles of friendship, justice, and learning, our chapter continues to honor the traditions and values that have guided generations of Sigma Chi brothers.

Established to bring these ideals to the CSULB campus, Eta Beta has built a strong reputation for brotherhood, leadership, and service. Our history is defined by members who are committed to academic excellence, campus involvement, and giving back to the Long Beach community. Through decades of growth and evolution, our chapter has remained dedicated to shaping men of character who lead with integrity.

With 37 active members and a strong Fall 2025 pledge class of 17 newly initiated brothers, Sigma Chi Eta Beta continues to build upon its foundation, strengthening our brotherhood and expanding our impact as we look toward the future.

Our goals for the future

At CSULB we wish to secure ourselves as the most prominent chapter. Initiating only the highest quality of men into our order that wish to become leaders and create change in the world. To continue to do that we have 3 large goals we wish to accomplish together.

  • Out of all Greek life on campus, our chapter has raised the most money, over $10,000, for philanthropic efforts this past year. We wish to not only keep this lead but to actively raise as much funds as possible for Huntsman Cancer Foundation.

  • Someday we wish to own our house. Currently we rent our house and increasing prices makes it very difficult financially for our brothers.

  • To be able to compete with all other fraternities on campus we need numbers. We wish to end 2026 with 30 newly initiated members.
